STream of consciousness

Welcome, fellow authors! Let's get right down to business. This hive is our place to interact. The current topic is "stream of consciousness," beginning with the following definition:

A literary style in which a character's thoughts, feelings, and reactions are depicted in a continuous flow uninterrupted by objective description or conventional dialogue.

Perhaps you’ve experienced writing in a relatively linear fashion and all of a sudden, you’ve sensed a marked shift in voice. Three of my six books contain examples of shifts into stream of consciousness in the midst of following the storyline. These examples occur in my first novel, Tanner Blue; my short story,“Music for the Dream;” and in my novella, Painted Deserts.
